Hi, I’m Flown!

I'm a nature nerd and grad school dropout (with a B.S. in Biology). Mostly an autodidact. Neurodivergent and living with chronic illness and pain. My pronouns are she/they.

My partner (of 24 years) and I are currently camping out in Alabama and slowly working on our house buildβ€”after 4 years off grid in the Appalachian foothills of North Georgia and 1 year on the road between New England and the Mid-Atlantic.

Observing nature, hiking, photographing, and cataloguing my findings is a secondary therapy for me. I have a strong interest in fungi, plants, and insects, but I honestly love learning about anything and everything! I cannot say that I am a specialist as I have a tendency to jump from one hyperfocus to the next. Most of my observations are from North Georgia, but I am currently working on building up my Alabama observations.
